Vincent Blom

Born in Istanbul, Turkey in May 1991
Nationality: Netherlands; have lived in London for over 20 years
Education: educated at an international school in London, and then the University of St Andrews in Scotland (masters degree in geology)

Career:

• Began my career in gold exploration in Finnish Lapland
• Moved into consulting in 2015 working at Mars & Co for a couple of years
• Before joining Advancy in early 2018 as one of the first consultants in the new London office
• Have helped to grow with London and now we are a diverse international team of 35 consultants (!)

Specialisation at Advancy:

• Subject matter: chemicals and materials (plastics, metals), working with large players in the chemicals industry primarily in northern Europe and UK
• Type of work: corporate strategy, M&A, and transformations particularly managing: the green transition, and energy crisis in the past years in Europe

Example recent projects:

• Supporting a leading European API manufacturer with their strategic plan and cost transformation
• Supporting a leading American industrials company with their investment into a new cost effective steel production process
• Supported several leading plastics companies with their green strategy
• M&A in the plastics space
• Strategic advisor for a leading investment company as they launch the production of a new green plastic in Europe

Personal information:

• Been with my girlfriend Tiffany for almost 15 years… we are getting married in August 2024
• We have 2 young children together and a labrador
• My hobbies are: golf, lego and red wine (😊)
