I decided to do an eight-month internship at Advancy because I wanted to start off with a solid experience in management consulting.

At Advancy, interns have the same duties as junior consultants: they go to the client's offices, attend steering committee meetings, etc. The teams are small - usually consisting of a Director, a Manager, a consultant and myself. This gives interns a chance to interact with experienced directors and managers and to learn fast at their side.

I also received a good deal of training, on a daily basis from my colleagues on projects and more occasionally on specific topics (Excel analyses, presentation techniques, lean manufacturing, etc.).

Many projects are international in scope. I had the opportunity to work at the Shanghai office for two months in order to reinforce the local team in the region (China + Taiwan + Korea). That shows just how much confidence Advancy places in its interns.
